At just 15 years old, an Albany youth is facing some serious charges after he opened fire in public. The boy was charged with attempted murder because of what he did on a Saturday night on Orange Street. A car was simply driving down the road when the teenager opened fire, hitting the car’s windshield.
Thankfully, the people that were within the car were not injured. He then escaped punishment for several days before being taken into custody. Because of his young age, the teen didn’t have his information released to the public. He was arraigned by the court and ultimately released, with his court case to come in the future.
There was a separate incident that followed just a few days later, too. A young man was seen pointing a gun at a car without firing. It turned out that the two incidents were unrelated. If charged, the teenager faces up to 15 years in prison, though it’s likely to be reduced because of his age.
